A demonstration garden that helps portray the cradle of Los Angeles. A public space linking L.A.’s historical past with a brighter outlook toward the future of a major city. Lined with large trees and intersected by a riparian zone, the park strives to remind Angelenos and all visitors of the importance of the L.A. River and local history of agriculture, viticulture, and industry. Surrounding communities and advocates for green open space protected this former railyard for future generations. This park is what a public space adorned with California native plants can be, bringing art, music, and health to all visitors.
