Our garden celebrates what once was and what could be: wild California chaparral reimagined in the idealized confines of a front yard. Guided by responsibility to both the historical and ecological, we hope to create a space that simply gives more than it takes. Created through an act of friendship, our garden is maintained by the foundations of that bond: purpose, commitment, self-expression, support. And fun. We hope that by being stewards of this self-initiated, ecologically minded plant community we can contribute towards a larger movement seeking to create balance on the land we inhabit. After all, awareness is the seed of responsibility.
