A comfortable space for reading and relaxing, where friends can gather, and the interior meshes with the exterior. What started as your standard Southern California landscape, a lawn and a pool too large for the modest back yard, turned into a space for family, friends, and pets, with 20 trees and countless native plants. Residents and visitors sit on the front bench to chat with neighbors or around the spacious fire pit while enjoying the planter-turned-water feature. Hummingbirds, monarch butterflies, and lizards thrive on the vegetation and insects that frequent the yard.
