Eternal Meadow is the natural green burial section of the Santa Monica Woodlawn Cemetery comprising a diverse mix of California’s wildflowers, shrubs, and native grasses that include sandasters, four-nerve daisies, and field sedge. These provide year-round urban habitat for wildlife, visual interest for visitors, and the context for eco-concepts at work both above and below ground. Mulched paths offer opportunities to wander, a swale captures runoff, and driftwood provides sculptural accents.
