The Gottlieb Native Garden

Sunday April 24 | 10am - 5PM

Private Residence

Design: Susan Gottlieb (resident) with assistance from the late Rogers Weld

Care: Carlos Roques & Emerson Funes

Garden Size: 1 acre, front/back

Started: 1990

The Gottlieb Native Garden was started in 1990 and consists of 99 percent native plants on a one-acre hillside near downtown Beverly Hills. Even after all these years I am still mesmerized by the beauty of our native plants and the wildlife activity created by them in the garden. Most of the plants were purchased at the Theodore Payne Foundation. The Garden has been described this way:
“A sense of wonder strikes anyone who walks through the Gottlieb garden beholding the way that, with native plants, Susan has created a stunning oasis of biodiversity in what might otherwise be thought of as a biodiversity desert.”
