Our love is a nonsensical warren of steep, charming hills, a neighborhood in Los Angeles where people visit everyday kindnesses on one another, and exchange hellos in different languages. Our love is a barrio where remnant chunks of native ecology flirt with global gardening traditions. Dense complexes of culture and ecology. Loquats kissing black walnut trees, prickly pears consorting with coast live oaks, and a tree of heaven whispering sweet nothings into the nape of a California sycamore. Our desire is a risqué philosophic-botanical scenario, a wrongness that just feels so right.
Notable Plants

Coastal Quail Bush (Atriplex lentiformis ssp. Breweri)
St. Catherine’s Lace (Eriogonum giganteum)
Gran Canon Baja Bush Snapdragon (Gambelia juncea ‘Gran Canon’)
Toyon (Heteromeles arbutifolia)
Black Sage (Salvia mellifera)
We don’t have a particular style, but instead we have some themes and subtexts that guide, and we’d like to optimistically hope, permeate through all of our projects. Some of those things are doing right by the site, using materials that are locally sourced, and building projects that are ecologically meaningful and contribute to their neighborhoods and regions.”
