A steep slope densely planted with trees, shrubs, and grasses welcomes visitors to our home in Montecito Heights. In the back yard, a 1,000-square-foot retreat features a cedar soaking tub and a Mediterranean border garden. Throughout, plants are chosen for their aesthetic qualities first and foremost, offering unique combinations that please the senses. Careful consideration of plant sociology and natural rhythms allows our gardens to remain dynamic yearlong while providing essential habitat for the smallest among us.
